After picking our hard working week on a farm for the mango, we drove the bus down to Airlie Beach. The Whitsunday Iceland consist of 74 individual islands lie off the coast of Airlie Beach, a few km from the Great Barrier Reef. The islands are one of the most popular holiday destinations in Australia, because the nature there, very reminiscent of the South Seas. We indulged there a 2-day sailing trip around the islands including bushwalking and snorkelling. Unfortunately for us the weather has not played but we had a lot of wind, which in turn made the exciting sailing.
