Adelaide - Glenelg
On 16 january morning we arrived in Adelaide. The weather once again not so great but that should change dramatically in the coming days. A highlight was that you could rent bikes for free in Adelaide, Adelaide and we have views from the wheel off. Coincidentally, just the professional cycling race Tour Down Under in Adelaide stopped and we had the chance to cast a look at Lance Armstrong and some German cyclist. A few days later we then procured a rental car and drove into the countryside. Adelaide and the surrounding area was heavily influenced by German immigrants, so that towns like Hahndorf and Lobethal look more like a German home movie. Since it is not hard to believe that the large resident wine industry produces some of the best Australian wines;) every 2 km, there was a wine cellar where you could taste wines for free ... After the third wine tasting, we had to give up, however, since we were traveling by car, unfortunately. The last few days in Adelaide we have in a suburb directly spent on the beach called Glenelg.
